Secretary-Corrimal Junior Surf Club
Corrimal Surf Life Saving Club has a long and proud history going back to 1912, when horses were used to effect rescues!
We recently found a copy of Surfing in Illawarra 1900-1962 which, as well as providing lots of statistics on all the Illawarra clubs, gives a potted history of the club up to the early ’60s.
We also spotted this photograph of “Ron Bradley (Corrimal) winning the Australian Senior Surf Championship at North Steyne on 12th March 1955″. The photo came from the Sydney Morning Herald.
